Word from the Head Servant

- Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
-
- I would
like to praise and thank the Lord for continuing His work in Genesis
throughout all these years. For it is written, “Unless the Lord
builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” (Psalm 127:1)
Indeed Genesis was built by the Lord!
-
- Genesis
began as a Bible Stud
 y
Group in August 1998 before it became a Charismatic Prayer Group. It
has now finally evolved into a Community. And we are celebrating our
7th Year as a Community and 14th Year as Genesis.
-
- But what
we really are celebrating here is the goodness of the Lord to Genesis
and to all of us members. Many things have changed and many events
have happened. Many of the members have gone and left us for good. But
only one thing is certain: That in all these events and changes, the
Lord has been with us and will always be with us.
-
- He has
led and guided Genesis to where it is now thru the power of His Holy
Spirit. And He continues to guide us still. He sends us priests,
speakers, community leaders and His other servants to minister and
help us grow as His people, as His Genesis. He continues to manifest
Himself to us through His prophetic words, healings, miracles, many
answered prayers and other gifts of the Holy Spirit. He adds to our
number thru our children and our new members. Above all these, He
continues to draw us closer to Him and even calls us to serve Him
unworthy as we are.

- This
year, the Lord has again spoken to us His word. “Be holy,
because I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:44) How? He asks us to
“deepen our prayer life, fellowship daily with Him and be a light to
others”.

-
Undoubtedly, God has really been so good to Genesis. As we celebrate
this year’s anniversary, let us give all the glory, honor, praise and
thanksgiving to the Builder of the Genesis Catholic Community - God
alone - He alone is worthy of all these.
