AND THE LIFE

In Luke 24: 6-7, we find this passage about Easter:
“He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told
you, while He was still with you in
Galilee: ‘The Son of Man
must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the
third day be raised again.’”
Yes, Jesus has died to redeem us from our sins. And then
has risen again on the third day, which is Easter. While every year
we remember this sacrifi ce
that our Lord had done for us with sadness, we rejoice at the thought of
Him rising up again. But with the passing of each year, have we grasped
fully the meaning of Easter in our lives? Have we realized how much our
Father in Heaven loves us that He gave up His only Son for our sake? Have
we tried to get over our small disappointments in life, knowing fully well
that this is but a small portion of the sacrifice Jesus has made for us?
Have we recognized the new life in store for us no matter what trials
may come our way?
I have read from somewhere how Easter is real! It is
very real because we may have lost every hope there is when facing our
problems in life, but God is there to help us rise again and conquer
whatever problems we have. We could be so hopeless with our situation,
but when we turn to Jesus, who says, “I am the Way, the Truth and the
Life,” (John 14:6) surely, we can be rest assured of a new surge of
hope. We should remember the new life in us each time that we reminisce
the Resurrection of Christ. And we can only do this if we cling on to the
way that Jesus showed us, to the truths that Jesus and His disciples had
preached, and the life Jesus had modeled for us to follow, and which we
should lead others to follow.
We should look beyond the sacrifices that we make during
Lent, and see the bright light that Easter brings in our lives. After
all, the Lord wants us to be happy and contented with all that is
happening around us. Do you believe in this? Look at the past and see
how each year during the Lenten season, we try to fast, to abstain and
refrain from eating the food we like most, or maybe from watching
television, or controlling our temper so that we can be better
Christians. But if we do not follow Jesus, and connect what we do to His
resurrection, we feel empty, is it not? Our own sacrifice will not have
any real meaning because it is simply just performing something we decided
to do. And then what follows?
We should keep in mind that there is always hope at the end
of the rainbow. Everything begins at Easter time…new life, new hope, new
aspirations, and new beginnings. We should rejoice each day knowing we
could turn our lives into an endless Easter. Let us begin today by
surrendering ourselves to Jesus. Let us pray that He show us His way, not
our ways, His truth, not our beliefs, and help us realize that He is the
fountain of life.
Jesus, our Way, our Truth and our Life. Let’s hold on to
that!
- TELL US LIKE IT IS!
- Has something
wonderful and unique happened in your life lately? Did God answer your
prayer in a very unexpected way? Did you, like Isaiah, meet God’s
whisper?
- Have you felt His
powerful hand working in your life recently?
- Everyday, people are
experiencing God’s mighty Word in their lives and it is a pity that very
few know about it. Do you have a story to tell? Some Good News to
share?
- E-mail us (genesis@catholic.org) or fax us
(021-6627384), and tell us about it. That’s right! You don’t have to be
a great writer to do this. We can help you write it – just tell us like
it is!
- Don’t forget to write
the subject: “Let Me Tell You A
