Dear Brothers and
Sisters in Christ,
GOD said, “It is not
good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helpmate” (Genesis
2:18). And so, GOD created Eve. He created family because He fashioned man
to be a communal being, not meant to live alone. Otherwise, He would not
have created Eve.
I praise and thank
GOD that He made man to be a communal being. I praise and thank GOD for
His beautiful gift called Community. I praise and thank GOD for His
beautiful gift called GENESIS.
Community is
comprised of two words, Commune + Unity = Community. Therefore, a
community is a gathering of a group of people who come together or who
bond themselves together united in one common purpose, that is, to give
praise, honor, glory and thanksgiving to GOD, and to obey and serve Him.
And in the GENESIS
Catholic Community, we are able to do just that. In GENESIS, we are given
the opportunity to express our love and obedience to GOD, and our love and
service to others. In GENESIS, we are able to live as a family that GOD
meant us to be.
I have said this and
I will say it again and again, GENESIS has contributed so much to my
growth in faith. Through this Community, I have experienced the reality of
God’s love, faithfulness, His goodness, generosity and compassion. In
turn, I see no other way of expressing my gratitude but to continue
serving God and His people, in whatever way I can, and to share all that I
have with others, through the Community.
And I would like to
take this opportunity to thank all the members of the Community, the
Pastoral Team, the Community Servants, CG heads and Ministry heads, for
their continuing love, prayers and support to me personally and to the
whole Community. I also thank the other communities who have been
supporting us, the Christ the King Association, the Light of Jesus
Community, the Ligaya ng Panginoon and the Komunitas Keluarga Kudus Allah
(KKKA). Also to all the priests who have celebrated Masses for us and all
our guest speakers who have encouraged us thru their talks. Because of all
your valuable support, GENESIS is now able to celebrate its 8th Year as a
Community (15th Year as Genesis). THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL OF YOU!
Above all, I praise
and thank our Lord Jesus Christ, the builder and perfecter of our faith,
who made and who continues to make all these things possible.
Happy Anniversary to
us all!!!
