Starting October, the Community’s prayer meeting will be held every First Friday (for the mass) and the Community’s general assembly, every third Fridays of the month.  We have prepared more powerful worships and inspirational teachings stored for all our members.

 

For a start, last October 24, our Bro. Alvin Barcelona from River of Life Catholic Charismatic Community of the National Shrine of Divine Mercy in Bulacan, Philippines accepted came to visit us. And we were truly blessed by his presence as he led us into a powerful worship and talk on “Pursuit of Holiness.”

 

It’s our Community’s birthday this November. And of course, just like other birthdays, special events were lined up for the Genesis Catholic Community.

 

We met, in the flesh, one of the dedicated and committed elders of the Light of Jesus Community, in the person of Bro. Pio Espanol (photo on the right with Bro. Pete).  Bro. Pio had been very gracious to accept our invitation to give a talk for our Anniversary celebration. Prior to that, upon his arrival last November 14, he gave leadership training to all the leaders of our Community.  We were very inspired by his sharing of how the Lord has called him to serve Him.  The Lord really works in different ways.

 

On November 16, our Genesis Catholic Community celebrated its 8th year Anniversary. The event was held at Godeliva in Kemang, south of Jakarta. The Community’s mission for 2004:  Generosity – “Be generous. Share with those in need. (Romans 12:13).  To those who have given, much more will be given them (Mark 4:25).”  We began our celebration with the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr. Peter.  Each CG offered their gifts which symbolized the blessings they have received during the year.  The Mass was followed by an inspirational talk of Bro. Pio on generosity.  Part of the program is a recognition given to my beloved husband, Alfred, for his service to our Community.  To all of you, thank you and let us all continue to work for His glory!!!   The new ECLS graduates were likewise presented to the Community – Congratulations and Welcome to the Family.  This celebration would not have been possible without the support of the care group of Bro. Larry and Sis. Joji, who coordinated the whole event. God bless you all.

 

On November 21, we had a joint worship led by Bro. Benny and Bro. Thor. This was followed by a short sharing of our Community members.

 

That’s it folks. I know we are all very busy preparing for Christmas, buying and wrapping gifts.  Let us all remember that Christ is the reason for the season.  Happy reading and God bless us all!
