I’m sharing with you some kind words of appreciation and encouragement from Mildred. Praise God for the gift of being able to express one’s appreciation with such eloquence; others may not be able to write so well but I’m sure that Mildred’s note reflect the same kind appreciation that the other graduates have for Genesis for bringing them to a renewed relationship with God through the ECLS and other activities of Genesis. Another reason for sharing this note is that Larry & I may be the most visible to them, but credit for the success of the ECLS, the anniversary celebration and other activities goes further and that include all of you and all those who untiringly supported and participated in these activities with the aim of sharing God’s love with others.

There is still a lot of work ahead in bringing them to full community life; in fact, based on what we’ve been through so far, I would say it seems a lot harder than organizing and conducting the ECLS itself. But I praise God for the persistence and patience of our brothers and sisters – I hope and pray we will have the same inspiration to carry on what God has called us to do.

Dear Bro Larry and Sis Joji,

Hope that this email would not be too late. Even as Bro Larry is in Canada, I just want to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to you both. Thank you for reaching out to us in Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta - we are really touched and blessed. As we have come from different walks of life, we have searched for that ‘community’ to be identified with, and earnestly want to be part of. So as you have opened your arms to welcome us, we too, open our hearts to reach out to you.

Last November 16 would have been the right time to express our desire to formally sign up and become part of Genesis. But I still keep in mind that we are being given two months to discern and pray for the Lord’s guidance before finally saying “yes”. But don’t worry, as Jessica is truly decided to join, I too would like to be a part of the Genesis community. But perhaps at this point in time, more of the North Jakarta counterpart, and perhaps its first CG.

I have often encouraged Sis Linda to initiate the CG meetings and prayer sessions here. And in turn, have expressed my support to her and our ECLS batch in facilitating these. I also wish to continue serving at Don Bosco Parish Church in whatever way I can. This is what makes me happy and fulfilled. So with this humble act of service, I hope that we make you, Bro Larry, and Tito Fred proud.

Thank you very much for the heartwarming experience you have made us feel thru the ECLS. We are indeed awakened to serve the Lord, actively in His parish. Thank you also for the opportunity to pray together, so that in turn, we would want to pray more diligently in search for His truth and wisdom.

Congratulations for your 8^th year as a ‘Community’! I am indeed proud to have walked with GENESIS in this my life’s journey. But I am more fortunate to have met Tito Fred, you and your loving husband, in our search for ‘being’ and ‘living’ with our fellow Christian brothers.

God bless you and your family. May the Lord continue to guide and direct you in touching more lives and hearts, to bring closer to and one with HIM. And may your dream of having a better world, through a strong, united, loving, giving, and sincere life with the ‘community’ continue throughout the coming days…

With all my wishes for the Lord’s blessings to pour into your hearts and home, I would remain to be a part of the ‘people behind the scenes’ so to speak, esp. in the carrying out of the goals and objectives of God in the parish and the North Jakarta Catholic community.
