I would say the month of May has been full of merriment because WE HAD LOTS OF HOLIDAYS!!! And what better way to spend the holidays than to treat ourselves with fun and a good rest. To name a few, we have members who traveled to see where the movie “Lord of the Rings” was shot. Of course, I am talking about New Zealand. Others indulged in a get-away experience in spas. Some went to Bali to delight themselves with the waves and beaches, while others enjoyed cool retreats in Surabaya. And still, others spent the time in the solitude of their homes with their families and friends. Well, wherever we were, the Lord has blessed us with good health and safe trips.

MAY 9-11, 2003

GO BIG! IT’S ABOUT TIME! BUT ARE WE READY? These are but some comments and questions that we have to answer and discern with regards to our Community’s planned affiliation with the Sword of the Spirit (SOS), an international community of communities. om the USA who has been based in Manila for the past 17 years, led us into the conference, with his team. At the same time, we talked about the direction that the Community wanted to take, of course, in accordance with the will of the Lord. Throug Sis. Jolene

h this conference, we came to know God’s call for His people to become a “Bulwark” and serve in “stemming the tide of evil”. All of us are called to be His disciples. We are therefore “Disciples with a Mission”. Other guests from the Philippines and Singapore made the conference memorable as they shared with us their experiences with their respective communities. We were blessed to have with us members of Ligaya ng Panginoon Community in the persons of Bro. Mao and Sis. Cynthia Navoa. This lovely couple related to us their own personal struggles in their community and how the Lord has touched their lives. niversary with the Genesis family. Sisters May Fong and Jolene from Singapore also inspired the Community with their personal testimonies on how they came to know the Lord. We had our Rosary Worship led by Bro. Pete Lapid, when we meditated on the five decades of the new Mysteries of Light or the Luminous Mysteries. Afterwards, some brothers and sisters shared with the Community God’s blessings on them. The Lord truly is an awesome God, a God who protects His people and a God who answers prayers.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Watch out for our forthcoming event, “Hari Gembira”, happening on June 14th, the annual Thanksgiving Day for our helpers and drivers, and a lot more. Happy reading and God bless us all!
