BIG THANKS!

 

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

 

Words cannot express my happiness for the prayers you have offered to save the life of my wife Josephine during her recent heart stroke. With your prayers, a life was saved because Jesus always answers your prayers and I am a witness to that being a member of the GENESIS COMMUNITY. To all of you, especially to Bro. Benny and Sis. Liza, and to Bro. Pete, I say with all my heart and soul, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND MONETARY HELP. If you will recall, Genesis was and still is the first place where I met Jesus Christ and where Jesus called me and introduced me again to the Father. How lucky I am to be there at the time, which I thought was just an accident, but in the end was my reintroduction to the Lord Jesus.

 

I still remember some of the words and messages that the Holy Spirit has given me for your Community. The messages are there printed in my heart and mind every time I join the Friday prayer meetings. But there was a message that I did not reveal to you for fear of being misunderstood as self-serving. The message I kept from you was this: "Thank you for accepting My son, George, in your hearts; I sent him to Jakarta to know Me more and love Me more; and, that you have not failed Me. Thank you for always loving Me and I will be with you always." Now, I say I am sorry for holding this message.

 

You know that God loves you so much because, TODAY, I picked up a metal with an inscription of the TEN COMMANDMENTS in an abandoned house. I just picked up the item not knowing where the message is intended. Then suddenly, I read the text from my wife to compose a letter for you my Genesis brothers and sisters, and I suddenly realized where the Ten Commandments was intended today. It is for you, and the item that struck me most is this: "Thou shalt not have other Gods before Me."  I know my brothers that you all love God but there might be a point in time where you unintentionally or intentionally forget Him because of the pressures in your life. For me, the pressure is tremendous but I still hang on to the Lord Jesus Christ because I know He loves us also. Be that as it may, I know He loves your Community so much and the service you have given to all your members in and outside Jakarta just like you have given to my wife. Again, I say, Jojo and I love you all very much and will also keep on praying for the success of your Community and in all your projects.

 

GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND I KNOW WE WILL MEET EACH OTHER AGAIN WITH GOD’S BLESSINGS.

THE CHURCH THAT'S CLOSE TO MY HEART

 

Beloved in Christ:

 

I thank you all for your kind help to me while in Karantina, God will richly bless you all and provide all your needs; especially Rev. Fr. Binzler and Fr. Veeger, and the elders’ council of Genesis Community; and of course, the altar boys and girls. What can I do without you by my side? A loving heart still beats, two healthy lungs still breathe, and two eyes see their loved one as no one else can see.

 

My heart wants you to know something. I have felt a deep, deep encouragement from you, to be myself and love more fully in my life. I want you to know how deeply you have touched places in me that felt hope and hopelessness, places that have been covered-over where my soul only longed to feel what I have with you.

 

No special day is needed for me to think of you for you will always be remembered since the day you gave me part of you. I hold the Church close within my heart and there you shall remain to walk with me throughout my life until we meet again.

 

If I could write a story, it would be the greatest ever told of a Church community so kind and loving, who gave me a heart of gold. As I sit and write these words, they often make me cry because I cannot say, God knows better. For you there in Jakarta and me who leaves for Africa, shall remain blessed in Christ Jesus. If possible, I would like to write all of you one by one to thank you for your help.

When, when do we meet again? It is so much for me to believe that I am living. Please send this letter to the Church and let it be read to everybody’s hearing. God bless us all, in Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen.

God is Good! All the time!

Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Jakarta. Most of you might not remember us, but we were attendees of the weekly Praise and Worship when we were there from March-August 1997. Lisa and I miss you all. It was so nice to see familiar faces in the group pictures. The Genesis Catholic Community is always in our prayers. Keep us posted. May the blessing of the Lord be upon you!
