The G Kidspace*
writer’s first hand account of what happened at the July 18-20
Summer Camp at Saung Nini Resort in Puncak. Read on…) ic when all the kids
started running down the slopes to play for a while. Then, we were
called back up to play games like partner tag and dizzy dancing. And
then, there was a game where we screamed and ran as fast as
we could.
Once you’re out of breathe, you stop. The farthest person wins.
After that, we had snacks and went down the slopes to play again.
Later, when we got back to Saung Nini, we started doing knot tying.
We tied double knots, bow lines and figure eights. The hardest knot to
tie was the bowline, which took a while for everyone to learn. After
the knot tying, we had the Amazing Race in which partners had to go to
different countries (in this case, rooms or places in Saung Nini are
designated as c ountries). The first one to go through all the
different countries wins. These were the countries, Indonesia,
Singapore, America, Israel, France, Australia, Philippines, Germany,
China, Brazil and Africa. Once a team finishes the Amazing Race, they
went kite flying, which last ed until nighttime when the tents were set
up. We had campfire and fireworks. Later, we told jokes and stories,
and sang camp songs in the center of the tents. We also had snowball
fights before bed, which some people missed. The next day, we tried
learning Morse code using flags. After that, we had games inside and
a second snowball fight for some people who missed it. Soon, we had
to leave. We’d like to thank Tita Tintin for organizing it. It was
great fun and I wish we could go back.SUMMER CAMP PICTURES
