His Instruments for Healing - By Beth Manibog

One of the most assuring promises we have in God is healing.  Healing can manifest in all aspects of our lives, be it physical, emotional but more so spiritual.  As I reflect on this month's theme (healing), God reaffirmed that His healing grace is channeled through us.  In the book of James 5:13-16, the Bible says, " Are any among you discouraged?  They should pray.  Are any of you happy?  They should sing songs to God.  If anyone is sick, let him call on the elders of the Church.  They shall pray for him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  The prayer said in faith will save the sick person; the Lord will raise him up and if he has committed any sins, he will be forgiven.”  There will be healing if you confess your sins to one another and pray for each other."  In the Gospel of Mark 16:18, Jesus told His disciples that those who will believe and are baptized will be saved…they will lay hands on the sick and the sick will be healed.

As a believer and whose faith is in God, we are commanded to lay our hands upon the sick.  Laying of hands is an act of praying, asking God to bring forth healing upon the sick person.  I have personally experienced and witnessed the overwhelming joy when someone receives healing from the Lord.  But I believe, we should be more grateful when  God's will  prevails over our personal desires.  God in His infinite wisdom knows best for the person we are praying for.  Ours is a call to lay hands, to pray for others, it is God's work to do the rest.  By doing what the Lord has commanded us, we can be sure that God's best will be manifested.  Let us continue to serve as God's instrument  in channeling His blessings to those in need and healing to them who are sick.
Indeed our work in the Lord is not in vain.  Following are the testimonies of our brothers and sisters who have experienced God's healing through the prayers of the Community.  Read and be blessed.

Danny Singson thru Sis. Liza Caleda
Praise and thanksgiving to God for Ernesto Singson, my father, whose intestinal obstruction has cleared and no longer needs an operation.  Thank you to all for offering prayers.

I would like to thank everyone in the Community for the prayers and financial assistance you have offered for my son Joseph who was diagnosed with bone cancer last year.  By God's grace and mercy, Joseph was able to finish the 9 courses of chemo therapy protocol made by his Oncologist. I thank God's presence in every step of the way, and for giving strength to my son and to feel less the side effects of the treatment. Joseph’s latest Bone Scan and other CT scans are now negative and showed no evidence of the disease. We praise and thank God for this great blessing and for using the chemo drugs to kill the cancers cells and stop the cancer.

I thank God for His help and for all those who helped me come this far... I say a prayer of thanks for all of you because without you this journey would have been longer and more difficult.  Joseph has passed the half way point and we are almost at the finish line. With my faith in God my son will be able to walk again and live a normal life. With this biggest challenge that has happened the Lord God has touched my life and I realized that He is present even in - especially in - hard times.

Thanks to all Genesis prayer warriors for praying for my Dad & Mom.  Dad has recovered from his bronchopneumonia.  My mom's cough is getting much better. Please continue to pray for her complete recovery.  May God return your kindness through His blessings.

Ira Marie Sol thru Armand Sol
Thanks for the prayers. As of Saturday, 12pm, Ira’s vision is now 20/25!   Wow, she said she could not remember the last time she had a clear vision. Her laser operation on Friday lasted for only 15 minutes.  Thank God Ira can see me clearly again! Our sincerest thanks for your continued prayers!
