- When
I came to Indonesia to
work years ago, I had only one mission in mind, to earn enough money
to enable me to build a simple house for my family in Manila. I gave
myself two years to do this. Now I have been working in Indonesia for
more than ten years. Why? Because apart from the financial blessings
that the Lord had generously showered upon us, He also blessed us with
a Community. We were expecting financial blessings and yet He gave us
much, much more than we expected, the Genesis Catholic Community!

- I
praise and thank the Lord for bringing my wife, Vi, and I to the
Genesis Catholic Community! It is through Genesis that we have
tremendously grown spiritually. This is where we learned that serving
Him is a gift that we should actually thank Him for.
Because it is through service that we are led closer to Him.

- Thus,
on the occasion of Genesis Catholic Community's 6th anniversary and on
behalf of the Genesis Surabaya, we pray that the Holy Spirit will
continue to empower Genesis to proclaim the Good News! Through
service, may we be instrumental in bringing souls to Jesus Christ to
claim the true freedom He earned for us all through His cross.
