REMEMBERING
MOMMY JANE
- This
page is made especially for this woman we call Mommy, friend,
counselor, grandmother. She has touched the hearts of many people in
Indonesia and was an inspiration for her great faith in the Lord.
Below are some fondest memories from people who have been close to
Mommy Jane’s heart.

- PINKY
BROSAS
- Countless
times I visited Mommy Jane in her home after lunch, most often she’s
in her room and we would talk for hours until we find ourselves
sleeping. I would embrace her and caress her hair, or we just hold
hands until we wake up. We both felt so good and comforting and happy.
These are the most precious moments with Mommy Jane I will treasure
forever.

- I
will remember Lola (grandmother) as my most beautiful and most blessed
Lola. Most beautiful because she loved and treated me like her real
apo (grandchild.) Most blessed because she touched so many lives. She
shared not only her heart but also her soul as well to thousands
people. I love you so dearly, Lola.

and LIESYE
- Kita
kenal dengan Mommy Jane kurang lebih 3 tahun. Mommy Jane adalah
seorang tua yang patut kita ikuti cara hidupnya dalam hal:
KEBIJAKSANAAN, KASIH, PERHATIAN, KERAJINAN, KETAATAN, KETEKUNANnya.
Jane.

- Thank
you for being such a wonderful mother to us here in Indonesia. You
have taught me how to live my life and helped me to survive in times
of my difficulties. We will always miss you. We love you.
-
- PINKY
TORRES
- I
will always remember her kindness and generosity.
Lola always makes sure that there is enough food for everybody
and that the food is delicious. My fondest memory of Lola was when one
time I asked her to pray for me on my intention to have a baby, and
she told me that I should not lose hope for definitely the desire of
my heart will be given to me. To
Lola, wherever you are, I know you are happy and I know that you will
be whispering to the Lord what I've been praying for. Thank you for
everything. We love you.

- I
remember Lola Jane as … a Lola who is so loving because she would
patiently wait on the dinner table for each of her “apo” to come
and have dinner, just like a mother waiting for her precious little
child, during our prayer meetings in their house… she is so
thoughtful - that she would bother to give us presents and cards on
every important occasion of our lives…. she is so caring – that in
her own little way, she would come and visit us at home specially if
one of us is sick and bring in anything which she thinks will make us
happy…. We love you, Lola.
Thank you for making our lives a lot more beautiful with your
presence and loving ways.

- What
I cannot forget about Mommy Jane is her thoughtfulness...one time in
her house before our Intercessory Prayers she kept on asking Tita
Nenette to give me ice cream, at that time I had a late lunch making
me full. Thanks to Mommy for touching my life even for a very short
period of time.

MIRANDA
- Personally.
I will miss the times she would always whisper to me to eat part of
the food in her plate. These are endearing words to me, but I actually
do eat some of her food. She even gives me her big housedresses,
making me really feel her love for me,
Mommy, you love each one of us in your own special way. I
love you, Mommy. Thank you for loving me, your Godson, Boy, and
my children, Gerry and Carlo.

- I
was too young to remember my grandmothers when they were still alive,
so Lola, God must have brought me you to be the grandmother I always
wanted to have. Your
loving ways, thoughtfulness, great faith and humor really
distinguished you from all the rest. During the last two months before
your had the second stroke, I’ve been busy at work, and thus often
missed out the Bacang or Friday prayer meetings. I last saw you up and about (primly seated, that is) during
the Genesis Children’s First Friday Mass.
I went up to see you after Mass and we exchanged our trademark
puckered lips greeting as I said my name (The puckered lips was the
special greeting I started to share with Lola since she had her first
stroke). Then you said
“Bakit ngayon ka lang…ang tagal na di kita nakita.” (Why are you
here only now, I haven’t seen you for some time.).
Lola, you lifted my spirit with the love and concern echoed in
your words…I was deeply touched and your words made me feel
important and missed…I may not hear you say it again but I shall
remember you every time I am in need of loving words to lift my
spirit…My love and prayers are with you Lola!
