Easter is a time of great joy for all Christians. It proves what our Bible lessons have been telling
us. That God loves us so selflessly that He will give us -
first, the death of His Son and then Jesus' resurrection to
perfect life in order to serve as a promise to us that we, too,
can hope for life after death, if we but follow His plan for our
lives.

Column:
Ask
any of the Genesis children and they will tell you where they
would rather be on a Friday night. At the mall? Nope! Stay
home playing couch potato? Nah! It’s TGIF at Gereja Santa!!!
Why? Because they make up this bunch of lovable youngsters,
with ages ranging from 1 – 14, who hang out in a secluded corner
of the Church grounds learning about their faith while having so
much fun with their friends.

Holy Father's prayer intention
for the month:
- LIVE ACCORDING TO
THE SPIRIT
That those who hold
positions of responsibility in the Church may offer a shining

WAR
OR NO WAR by Bro. Pete Lapid
-
In today’s conflicts, especially in
the Middle East, soldiers are prepared to risk their lives for their
country. They are willing to face danger to the point of possible
death in obedience to their leaders. What about us Christians? If
soldiers are willing to take that risk for the glory of their
country, are we willing to risk our lives for the glory of God? Are
we prepared to obey our true Leader when He commands and calls us?

FAITH
IN THE RISEN CHRIST
by Fr. S. Binzler, SJ
- Easter
need not happen just once a year. Every time we gather to
worship, we declare Christ's Easter victory. And there may be
some very personal Easters in our lives - those momentous
victories and decisive changes we choose to make along the way.
And there are the many small victories of Christ's life in us -
even the daily declarations of resurrection in our lives,
keeping us in the paths of truth and sincerity. READ MORE

OUR
RISEN KING by Fr. KJ. Veeger, MSC
- Since the beginning of
Christianity, the title “king” has been a powerful metaphor to
indicate the mission and function of Jesus Christ. On the walls
of the catacombs in Rome, we can see how the first Christians
presented Jesus seated on a throne. Before republics and civil
states were established, people throughout the world - including
Indonesia – were ruled by local kings. READ MORE

VICTORY
IN THE LORD by Philip Yuson
- Easter marks the victory of
Jesus over death and sin. Since we are baptized in the name of
Jesus, we too share in this victory. Very often, we forget that
Christians are to live a life of power and victory. And as John
said in his first letter, our faith overcomes the world. Those
who believe that Jesus is the Son of God overcome the world.
Often times, we are faced with difficulties.

A
PLUS, NOT A MINUS by Ramon Martillano
- One thing I cherish most when
spending Christmas vacation in the Philippines is the chance to
hear very meaningful homilies. One of these is about the cross.
There is a story about three friends who were carrying their
crosses as they traveled. Because of the weight, one of them
kept on cutting his cross until it became very short.

HERE'S THE LATEST ~
Community Life by
Pinky
Torres
- I’m back to documenting the
events in and around the Community. A very dear friend and
sister in the Community, Susana Suwandi, gave her vow to love
and honor Edward O’ Rourke, a Scotish friend of the Community.
Bro. Pete and I stood as witnesses to their matrimonial vows.

GOD
THE MERCIFUL
-
by Fr. Martinus S., PR
- God
always strives to save us and make us happy. In our Gospel,
Jesus healed and forgave a paralytic. The paralytic had faith
and believed Jesus can heal him, so he tried very hard to meet
Him. But he cannot see Jesus because no one brings him to Jesus.
With the help of four believers, the paralytic was brought to
Jesus. Jesus saw their great faith.

EASTER
REJOICING by Carolle Bautista
- As the Church celebrates
Easter, we celebrate a time of great happiness, a time of
rejoicing because Jesus has risen from the dead. In short, it is
His Resurrection, to share a new life with His apostles, and in
these modern times, with us. Easter is not only a one-day
celebration - it extends fifty days from Easter Sunday to
Pentecost. READ MORE

THE REWARD
OF CONSTANCY by Beth Manibog
- Why is
it so difficult for me to stand up in front during our prayer
meetings and share? I have to master my lines beforehand. I am
afraid of stammering – from loss for words or maybe from getting
distracted. The Lord has been blessing us every now and then.
Actually, countless times in a day. But why do we proclaim His
goodness to other people so sparingly?

THE
RELEASE
by Sansu Garin

RELEASED. What a liberating word!
After the long sleepless nights, hectic days of nearly “losing”
sanity, breathing and subsisting on the stress, finally, the work is
completed and the report is released! Released!!! My work is ruled
by deadlines. Although the heavy workload is seasonal (normally
every tax season, which coincides with the Lenten season and spills
over the Easter season), the deadlines happen almost all at the same
time.
