GOD ANSWERS PRAYERS

 

 

 

Where do we turn to when we need comfort?  When things are not going the way we want them to be, where do we go?  When we are in trouble, whom do we seek?   Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30:  “Come to me, all of you who work hard and who carry heavy burdens and I will refresh you.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me for I am gentle and humble of heart and you will find rest.  For my yoke is good and my burden is light.”  JESUS IS THE ANSWER!.. Instead of running away from Him, turn to Him, He’ll give us the rest we so desperately need.  

 

We turned to the Lord during these troubling moments in our lives and He gave us His peace.   Read on and  experience the peace the Lord gives to those who seek Him.    

 

Ricky and Carol Baut ista

We would like to thank everyone who have been praying for Richard, Carlo and Ricky.  Richard and Carlo have no more fever now and we are just treating their asthma and tonsillitis, respectively so that everything would be back to normal.  But the most important thing is that they have become their normal, happy selves again.  Thank you especially for praying for Richard's health.  For the last two months, he had just one asthma attack.  (Before that, he had an attack each week and continuous medication for a year.) His condition appears to be stable now and with your continuous prayers, would keep on improving.    Indeed, there is nothing impossible with the Lord's hand at work.

 

I would also like to thank those who have prayed for my health (Carol).  I have not taken any medicine for my throat allergy since I was prayed over by Fr. Robles.  (I have been on medication since June 2000).  About June this year, I also stopped taking the medicine for my gastritis and everything was alright. We already have also found a house.  My son Richard s already happy with his school.  The Lord has given us so many blessings in so short a time, and guidance on so many decisions in our life. We value all the prayers of the Community and we thank the Lord for all the healing that has occurred through your generous prayers. Praise the Lord!

 

Jojo and Arlene Perucho

Thank you for all your prayers.  God is good, His Love is simply overwhelming.  All praises to Him and Him alone.  My family would like to praise and thank the Lord for our safe trip to/from Singapore and good results of our medical examinations.  We would also like to praise and thank the Lord for sustaining and assisting me (Jojo) in my studies.  The 3-week residency in the university campus was very enriching and fulfilling.  All glory to our loving God, the source of all these blessings!

Thank you for your prayers. The Youth for Christ did very well - lots of applause at the end of the Eucharistic celebration. The Lord indeed  was exalted and a lot of people were blessed. There were some problems at the beginning - misplaced chords for the piano, lost song sheets  for the congregation, late members for practice, drum player's sprained ankle, etc. But all these were signs that the enemy was  trying to distress us. But praise God, the Lord prevailed. Thank you and God bless.

We just came back from a hassle-free and wonderful travel to the US and Canada. Everybody was healthy and safe during the trip. I have also been offered a job in Calgary which firmed up our intention to move to Canada by September this year. We wish to thank our brothers and sisters who prayed for our intentions for this trip. God is undoubtedly good and generous.

I would like to extend my thanks to all of you for praying for John, my friend in the US, during his job quest a couple of weeks ago.  He has now found a new job and started this week.  May God bless your kindness and return His blessings upon you in manifolds.  Thank you.

 

Jet and Miles Pampolina

Miles gave birth to Sean Ethan yesterday (August 2) at 8 a.m. at the Makati Medical Center. Miles is doing well and recovering, in fact she's walking already while Seth is undergoing routine checks because of his heavy respiration which could be due to some lung problems. Regards to everyone and thank God for this blessing !!!! Thanks for your continued prayers !

 

Sis. Nenette Dizon

I am now healed. Thank you and all our brothers and sisters who prayed for me. My sickness conveyed to me 2 messages from the Lord: (1)  discipline in eating: need for more vegetables and fruits and moderate in quantity; (2)  the great love, concern and care especially of my brothers and sisters in Genesis. May God reward you all a hundredfold.

The Lord is indeed a great Healer.. He took care of my father and with only a few days in the hospital, he has now been discharged.  We praise and thank the Lord for the prayers of the Community and most especially for the love and the support of each one of our brothers and sisters.
